Are you passionate and self-motivated? Do you have excellent written and verbal communication skills? Would you like to use your abilities to break into working for a charity, helping to raise funds and making a difference to young people in Gloucestershire?
TIC+ are looking for a bright, articulate and creative individual for a new position to support both our fundraising activity and the Boys in Mind project, funded by the Levelling Up Fund for 1 year. Being an intern is often the first step to a career and presents an opportunity to experience work and learn new skills.
This role will offer an opportunity to increase your knowledge of charity marketing, communications, websites, PR promotion and fundraising. There may also be an opportunity in the future to extend the duration of the role via the offer of a Fundraising Apprenticeship scheme, subject to funding.
The successful applicant will develop an understanding of how marketing, communications and fundraising work together in a charity setting. By the end of the role, you will have a clear idea of what marketing and fundraising activities work for a charity and why, and how to measure the effectiveness of these activities. During the role, there will be opportunities to attend marketing and fundraising seminars, which will increase your industry knowledge. On-the-job training, guidance and support will be provided; however, you will also be expected to be able to work on your own initiative.
Note that this internship has been designed to create a professional development opportunity for people who are new to the marketing/communications/fundraising and charity sector. Therefore, applicants should have less than two years paid or unpaid experience in any of the above.
At TIC+, we welcome and encourage applications from people of all backgrounds and are committed to having a workforce that is made up of diverse individuals, skills, experiences and abilities. Due to current under-representation in our workforce, we especially welcome applications from men, men of colour, and disabled men.
