Training with TIC+

TIC+ has been providing training since 2016 and, every year, our training is judged as outstanding by our awarding bodies and our students.

What sets us apart is that we are a Counselling Agency offering training, where Tutors have hands on experience of what clients bring and they can adapt the training based on what they’re seeing in the counselling room.  TIC+ training is based on an integrative client-centric model and draws upon Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Solution Focused Therapy (SFT), as well as creative strategies.

TIC+ students go on to work in a variety of roles; working for TIC+, various agencies, training counsellors of the future, setting up in private practice and gaining further qualifications in specific specialist areas or training to be a supervisor.

We offer the following courses:

• CPCAB Level 2 Certificate in Counselling Skills

• CPCAB Level 3 Certificate in Counselling Studies

• CPCAB Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling for Counselling Adults and Children & Young People

• CPCAB Level 5 Diploma in Counselling Children & Young People

• CPCAB Level 5 Certificate in Counselling Children & Young People.

Continuing Professional Development (CPD)

We run a programme of CPD workshops for Counsellors and other mental health professionals who want to continue their professional development, broaden their knowledge or focus on more specific specialisms.

TIC+ places great importance on CPD, training and ensuring our Clinical Team are equipped to work with the complexities their clients bring to the counselling room.

Our reputation as a counselling and training organisation means that we are able to attract highly acknowledged experts in their field to provide excellent regular CPD, which we can also offer externally.

Where does training take place?

We have our own spacious and attractive training room in central Gloucester GL1, where training takes place, offering numerous facilities including a café and breakout rooms. We also offer courses delivered online via ZOOM.
