A workshop for anyone who wants to top up their toolkit and come away with lots of new
ideas and ways of working
This workshop offers a very interactive, experiential day looking at symbolic and creative
strategies that are equally useful for children, young people and adult clients. The day will
involve demonstrations, opportunities to get involved and to reflect on your learning and
how each activity can be adapted for each client group.
We will explore sand tray work, shells, stones, buttons and the use of masks along with
plenty of ideas about how to engage your clients and enable them to reframe ideas, shift
perspectives and externalise emotions.
The aim of the day is that you can go away with a much more robust toolkit that you can put
into practice with your clients straight away. We will show you that the equipment needed
doesn’t have to be expensive or take up lots of space in order to get good results. You will
be provided with a folder of outlining the activities we have covered so that you don’t need
to write notes during the day as well as many useful resources.
