Stroud College organised a karaoke fundraising night to raise money for us. Jess tells us about their evening,

“Stroud College staff and students came together to enjoy a night of Karaoke at Stroud’s Curio Lounge. The event was put on by our fabulous Music Tutors Sean Snook & Andy McGarrick, myself Jess Glanfield and our Talented Music students to raise money for the amazing, life transforming support our students receive from Tic+. This was our way of saying a little thank you.

The night started off with a performance of Abba’s Mamma Mia by Learning Mentor group ‘The Screaming Cats’ (see photo).  Performances ranged from 2 year olds signing Moana, older folk singing Karaoke classics like Delilah, Music students showcasing their talents, and a heart warming performance of ‘This is me’ from The Greatest Showman from one of our students. It was an opportunity for young people to overcome their fears, show off their talents and enjoy the limelight. For staff it was a chance to have fun together and take great pride watching our students.  The night closed with a loud and proud rendition of ‘We are the Champions’- it truly was a celebration for all!”

A very brilliant £171.23 was raised!

We are so grateful for your support; we know that you are aware of the difference counselling makes to the young people who we help day in and day out. Thank you so much to everyone involved and we hope you had a fantastic evening!
