Hi my name is Richard, I qualified as a counsellor in 2014. I have lived in Gloucestershire since I was 11. I enjoy music, I am a keen guitarist and also enjoy driving and tinkering with classic cars. I’ve recently completed a camper-van conversion with my partner and so travel is also a big part of my life – even if that is just wandering around the woods with my two Labradors!
Training, Qualifications and Experience
I have an Undergraduate degree in Psychology and a Postgraduate Certificate, Postgraduate Diploma and a Masters Degree in Counselling.
As a Relational Integrative counsellor I use a blend of approaches tailored to each client as I believe no single approach suits all people, but I always keep the relationship the main focus. I aim to provide a confidential, safe and non-judgemental environment to explore and reflect on any issues and concerns.
I hope to welcome you into a comfortable, non-judgemental environment where we can work through things together to make positive changes.
Membership of a professional body
I am a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) www.bacp.co.uk and work within their ethical framework of good practice; providing a safe, friendly, confidential and professional service.
