Introduction
Hi my name is Judith. I qualified as a counsellor in 2004. I have worked for TIC+ as a counsellor of children and young people in schools and in the community for the past 6 years.
I’ve lived in Gloucestershire since I was 10 years old. I love to cook and I watch TV dramas to relax. One of my favourite TV shows is Strictly Come Dancing! I have a grown up son and two granddaughters and a daughter who is at university.
Training Qualifications and Experience
I have a Diploma in Counselling and a Post Graduate Diploma in Counselling Children and Young People.
Therapies offered
My counselling training was Person-Centred but I use techniques and strategies from a variety of other models particularly Brief Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. I am committed to ongoing training to ensure that I stay up to date with the latest counselling techniques and research.
I am passionate about giving young people a safe, confidential, caring space where they can talk and know that they have been heard. I have been thrilled over the years to support many young people as they have discovered and worked through painful situations from the past and the present, and gone on to develop a new self-confidence and make positive and lasting changes in their lives.
Membership of Professional Body
I am an accredited registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy www.bacp.co.uk.
When I am available online
I work as a BANK counsellor for our online drop-in counselling service. I don’t have set days when I work, but if someone is on holiday or can’t work because they are sick I will cover for them.
