Introduction
Hi my name is Emma and I qualified as a Counsellor in 2014. I have been counselling children and young people for 4 years within schools and a doctor’s surgery both during training and after qualifying.
I live in Herefordshire and love walking my dog around the beautiful countryside. I also enjoy visiting new places near and far and one of my favourite places to be is Pembrokeshire. I read lots (mainly fiction) and also love experimenting in the kitchen which isn’t always successful!
Training Qualifications and Experience
I have a University of Worcester Foundation Degree in Counselling.
Therapies offered
I trained as a Person-Centred Counsellor and also use additional techniques from other counselling models such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) which means I am an Integrative Counsellor. I make sure I continue learning and training in all aspects of Counselling, especially to do with children and young people.
I strongly believe in giving everyone the opportunity to talk about what’s troubling them and to try and make sense of their feelings in a kind, gentle and non-judgemental way, so that in time they can live their lives fully and contentedly.
Membership of Professional Body
I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy www.bacp.co.uk.
